The 1EM Coalition is a collaborative of representatives from Democratic Town and City Committees in the seventeen communities that form the First Essex and Middlesex district in the State Senate, as defined by the 2001 redistricting legislation.   The district includes the following towns:  Boxford, Essex, Georgetown, Gloucester, Groveland, Hamilton, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Middleton, Newbury, North Andover (precincts 2, 3, 5, 7), North Reading, Rockport, Rowley, Wenham, West Newbury, and Wilmington.
